Things that don’t exist on the internet

  • A commercial for a Barbie computer game that for whatever reason has stuck with me all these years.

Generation Girls: Gotta Groove! Pick a Gen Girl.
    “Tori!”
    “Nichelle!”

Pick the moves, make her dance.
    “One, two!”
Control the action, create the fashions, design cool sets.
    “Hee hee hee hee!”
Spin, dip, twirl, flip, it’s amazing to see: the Generation Girls in 3-D!

  • An episode of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire where, when it came to the part of the show where Regis was supposed to make small talk with the contestant, the contestant claimed to have exceptionally nice feet. Regis said something like, “well, I have really nice feet.” So Regis and the contestant proceeded to take off their socks and put a bare foot up in the air. They showed a split screen view of the guy’s feet vs. Regis’ feet, and they did an Ask the Audience and had the audience vote on who had better feet. Regis won (but he didn’t really have nicer feet).
  • The America’s Choice segment from Big Brother 2 where the contestants each spoke to the camera, asking for something for the house, like a toaster or vacuum. Rather than asking for something useful, Will asked for “something safe and fun that everyone can use — a trampoline!” (They got the trampoline.)
  • The full episode of Coronation Street with Davy Jones. All we have is this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saVcPgA8y_o
  • The episode of Saturday Night Live with the sketch about The Foundation for the Tragically Hip.
  • An interview that aired around July 11, 2008 on my local news station with a local guy who claimed to know David Lee Roth. This segment was related to the story David Lee Roth Puts Nuts In Mouth — Almost Dies. The guy kept saying “it was my friend” and the interviewer kept prompting him “your friend, David Lee Roth?” and the guy would just say “it was my friend”. The station’s online archives only go back to 2010. :(
  • Robert Picardo’s two albums.
