I think “The Day We Fall in Love” is probably the reason I like a lot of terrible songs.

I got 19 emails from “Mike Nesmith” this morning.
Davy is too busy working each day at Screen Gems to spend time in the hospital in a coma.
Then the policeman had a great idea and I only wish I could have gotten pictures of it. It would have to be the picture of the year! They put a woman’s coat on Davy and a bandana on his head. Then they bribed four little kids, two on each side of him, to hold his hand and walk down the street, pretending he was a mother with four children.

I was getting my haircut, talking to the hairdresser, and then “Daydream Believer” came on, and I was so distracted that I completely lost my train of thought.
Me: You know what’s a good album?
My brother: What?
Me: The New Monkees album.
My brother: The Christmas album?
Me: No, the New Monkees album. Like… quote “The New Monkees” endquote. The album by The New Monkees. The band is called The New Monkees.
This video is genius. I don’t totally agree with the sentiment, although I do understand it, but oh man, somebody made this in nineteen eighty-seven. They didn’t have a script search back then, they didn’t have anything. This person is insane, and I want them to be my friend.
