On the King for a Day CD, “Crying in the Rain” is credited to King/Greenfield… and also to Warwar/Harris/Kerr/Cartagena. These are the names of the people who wrote “The Fugitive” by Iron Maiden. I don’t hear any interpolation of “The Fugitive” in Micky’s version of “Crying in the Rain”; I think it would be quite obvious if it was there.

It might just be someone having a laugh, because Micky Dolenz is credited with “lead and background vocals, acoustic guitar, knee and stomach slaps”.

My brother and I were playing Rock Band, and I turned the vocal track off and the microphone up and proceeded to murder “Last Train to Clarksville”. When the song was over, my brother turned to me and said:

My brother: Hey, you remember that time you were at a Monkees concert, and it was after Davy died, so they had people come up on stage and sing “Daydream Believer”? And you remember how you wanted to do it?
Me: …shut up.
